Killay Fawr forms part of a larger historic family estate and offers secluded high quality self-catering holiday accommodation with panoramic views of Swansea Bay and the surrounding countryside. The house is set within a large secure garden, suitable for children.

Gower is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ideal for walking, swimming, surfing, bird watching, fishing, horse riding, golf, sailing, and other outdoor and water sports. Short breaks are also available out of season. Dogs are welcome.

Sleeps 10 adults. Underfloor heating throughout.

LIVING ROOM

Entry through the front door, takes you into entrance lobby and hall. To one side of the hall is the living room, and on the other, the kitchen/dining room. The door at the rear of the hall opens into the utility room, which in turn leads to a wet room, including a toilet and shower.

Accessed by double doors from the hall, the living room has a variety of antique and modern furniture, including a Georgian table for playing cards and board games, a 32″ flat screen TV, a radio/cassette/cd/mini-disc and a DVD player.

GARDEN

The three French windows lead directly onto the veranda and patio where there are sun loungers, an all-weather table tennis table, and a mobile barbecue. Across the lawn by an apple tree is a pair of children’s swings and a separate slide.

KITCHEN

The fully equipped kitchen/dining room is also entered from the hall by a set of double doors and includes a gas/electric range with two ovens and an air extractor hood, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a large fridge/freezer, a Magimix, a filter coffee machine, a sandwich toaster, a toaster, and a dresser. There is also a wood-burning stove near the dining table and the ceiling lights are all on dimmer switches. A door in the corner of the kitchen, leads out to the garden.

Slate tiles provide the flooring throughout this level, and the heating is underfloor. The floor to ceiling height is just under three metres. Lighting is predominantly provided by recessed low voltage ceiling lights, complemented by some more traditional light fittings. Opening the two sets of double doors to the living room and the kitchen/dining room, as well as the easy access to the garden, makes it convenient for large parties in both winter and summer.

FIRST FLOOR

This floor is reached by a steep staircase and has a bathroom, a shower room, two double bedrooms with their own wash basins, and one with a built-in wardrobe, one twin bedroom, and one bunk bedroom. Light wooden boarding covers the floor at this level, again with underfloor heating, and recessed low voltage lamps light the corridor and bathrooms with a combination of different lights in the bedrooms. The ceiling height is similar to the ground floor.

SECOND FLOOR

Two small flights of stairs, with a landing in between, lead up to top floor. On the left is another twin bedroom, and directly ahead is the nursery, including some toys, children’s books, and a sofa bed with bedding.

Killay Fawr Reviews

We’ve had a fabulous stay here. Fantastic accommodation which had everything you could think of and more! Great size bedrooms, very spacious – plenty of furniture. The children loved the garden (& we hope you don’t mind but we pinched enough blackberries to make a delicious crumble!)
Such a beautiful location.

We had a wonderful week at Killay Fawr! Beautiful views, great rooms and lovely garden. We really enjoyed barbecuing and visiting the amazing beaches. Location was really handy for shops and access to the Gower. House was well kept and clean so it made for a very relaxing stay. Many thanks.

We had a wonderful family holiday here. The kids absolutely loved the garden and we felt it was very safe and secure. The secluded position of the house was very much appreciated. The kitchen was very practical. Thank you so much!

Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful farm. It is a beautiful location and allowed our family from around the world to have “home” for a week……It was magical! When we entered the gate it was like passing into Narnia. Thank you for this wonderful gift, the memories we made here will be cherished forever.

We’ve had a fantastic week and really enjoyed the house and especially the garden. Home grown apple and blackberry crumble. Good variety of thoughtfully chosen and relevant to the area reading material, and great artwork………

Super stay. Loved it. Thank you so much. Really look forward to returning. Lovely place. Really really enjoyed ourselves.

Another brilliant family holiday – we love it here! Lovely weather too! Thank you and can we come again……

What a great house! We were here for a family wedding and it was exactly what we required………The children and the dog loved the garden. We would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!

5 stars!!!. The amazing house is tucked away in a beautiful location just off the main rd but still has the luxury of Killay shopping centre just 2mins around the corner. The house and land around it was the perfect size for my large family visiting from New Zealand and was such a peaceful and quiet environment.
Very impressed with Henry’s service and communication throughout our stay!!. I highly recommend staying here as when my family visit next year I most definitely will be booking them in here again.
Thanks Henry.
