“Riverside”, but no river! Wonderful family home. 4 bedrooms, bathroom with shower over bath upstairs. Walk-in shower downstairs and study.

Utility room: oil fired boiler, washing machine and drier. Central heating.
Lovely garden. Garage space for bikes and boards, portable barbecue. Extensive grass area, ideal for games, picnics and relaxation.
Walkers, cyclists, beach lovers, rock pool addicts, all love this area designated as being of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated at the very end of the beautiful Gower Peninsula, the cliff walks are stunning! The air renews your lungs and the golden sandy beaches and coves are great for rock-pooling, games, walking or just sitting and watching the ever-changing seascape.
No big shops at Rhossili, just a few ice cream venues, a bistro and pub, plus the National Trust shop. Your food shop for the holiday can be ordered for home delivery though Tesco, Sainsbury or Asda. At Scurlage, 3 miles back towards Swansea there is the well stocked village shop and nearer, the Pitton Caravan and Campsite shop has newspapers, and essentials.
50 yds down the lane and across the main road are the paths to Fall and Mewslade Bays and Rhossili is just along the road or can be reached by a footpath. Turn left up School Lane, as our lane is known, over the cattle grid and on your right a house with a blue plaque marking the birthplace of Edgar Evans of the Sir Robert Scott’s Antarctic expedition. On your left take the track which leads to the highest point on Gower, where from the old trig point on a clear day you have a magnificent 360⁰ panoramic view!
The cottage, part of the premises next to the gate, is let separately and the area immediately in front of the cottage door is for their use. They also have permission to use the large grass area.
Back to the house! Being old it has lots of interesting features, nooks and crannies to explore.
The lounge hosts the piano, television and dvd player. The log burning stove can be used if the evening is chilly. (Logs are in the log store near the front gate. A first basket is free but please leave £5 per basket after that.) The oil fired central heating and hot water are controlled from the boiler in the utility room, which is just off the lounge).
The kitchen/dining room is spacious and the island enables those cooking in the kitchen to be part of general conversation with those cosied up on the window seat or round the table.
The conservatory provides another eating area, a lovely light filled space leading into the garden.
The telephone line is available for calls within the UK and of course WiFi . Vodaphone has the best signal in this area for mobile phones.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has a very wide bed, and a wash basin. The bathroom with shower over the bath is next to it, as is the upstairs toilet. At the top of the stairs is a small room which has 2 single beds. The next room is spacious and has bunk-beds. Leading off it is another large bedroom with 2 single beds and a wash basin. From the window, there are views over to the sea.
The fourth bedroom, a double, is downstairs, off the conservatory with a view up to Rhossili Down. Next to it is the walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. Bed linen is provided but please bring your own towels.
A Belfast sink here is useful for dealing with sandy, salty and occasionally!!! muddy clothes and shoes. An outside tap and hose pipe will deal with wet suits.
A holiday at Riverside is very special. Everyone loves it!
