Sleeps up to 2 people, fully equipped kitchen, bedding and towels provided, wet room/toilet, lounge area, wood burning stove, deck seating/BBQ area, off road parking, pets by arrangement, centrally located in village with good access to local beach and pub, free wifi, freeview tv.

The Bake House is located in the picturesque Gower village of Llangennith. The village is located at the Western edge of the rugged Gower Peninsula.

The area is famed for its stunning beaches and beautiful scenery. The Bake House is ideally located in the centre of the village being situated within comfortable walking distance of the local pub and beach.

The Bake House is attached the Western House B and B, which was a 19th century working farm. The Bake House has been used for many things over the years, including a cattle shed, surfboard shaping area, but as the name suggests, the Bake House was where the bread used to be baked in the farmhouse.

The Bake House has its own private access, parking, private courtyard, BBQ and deck area. The property is split level with a mezzanine double bed. There is a private external bathroom with a shower and toilet (please don’t worry the access to the wetroom/toilet is covered but should technically be classed as external. The shower is the warmest in our property). Due to the split level bed and the external bathroom, this may not suit some individuals with reduced mobility.

There is heating in the Bake House as well as the wonderfully large wood-burner. Wood is supplied for guests staying for up to two nights, but anything longer than this guests need to provide their own.

The Bake House does have the option of a double bed settee, which may suit a family with a child. If you have a larger party further accommodation can be arranged for you in our bed and breakfast.

The Bake House Reviews

The perfect cosy weekend getaway.
Lovely little place, perfect for a weekend getaway. Very cosy with a woodburner, comfy mezzanine-style bed and a small but perfectly functional kitchen. Steve was friendly and helpful, and even set up the fire for us before we arrived! From the Bake House it's about a 20 minute walk to the beach, or you can explore the many footpaths leading off into the surrounding countryside. Overall a fantastic stay and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting this beautiful part of Gower.

Great weekend.
Loved the Bakehouse, so quirky and cute. Comfy bed in the roof not a bad size tho one of the beams is slightly close to your head but was fine, I'm not one to wake up suddenly anyway! And I gather the living room sofa pulls out to a bed if needed. Despite the compact size it has everything you could need. Bathroom is in the courtyard but covered so no issues and the shower was v warm. Friendly and helpful owners. Breakfast an additional £8 per person per day but was v tasty and that's pretty good value anyway. Great location 20-25 mins from the beach we walked but there is parking a fiver per day at the campsite. Ate out down the road at the King's Head on Saturday v good food tho do book in advance it's busy at weekends and sitting outside may not be possible weather wise soon.

Happy with my accomodation choice of The Bake House & loved the Gower as much as I thought I would.
The Bake House was ideal for me - it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. There is a private garden space which I used once to sit & have a glass of wine in the sunshine but unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough the rest of the time. The short walk outside to the shower/toilet is undercover so not an issue. Convenient parking space right outside door.

Ideal location for quirky property
Self contained annexe with private garden. Walk in shower, perfect after a long walk or surf down llangennith. Log fire heats the property up nicely. Fully equipped kitchen ranging from a convection oven to a coffee press. Both hosts were welcoming and friendly. Theres a reason they're super hosts on booking. Com. Dog friendly property, with home comforts. Walking distance to Broughton Bay, Llangenith and the kings head pub. We were lucky enough to have stunning weather, but had it been bad, we would have happily stayed in with the fire lit. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night break in this quirky property. Would happily come back in the future.

The Bakehouse
Everything! This is a lovely, welcoming and creatively artistic little place to stay. Fantastic log burner, cosy little cottage with a well stocked kitchen and excellent facilities. The bathroom is outside, which wasn't a problem for us and the shower is excellent! The sofa doubles as a sofa bed if you need the extra space. There is a dedicated parking space and dogs are welcome. The hosts are friendly and laid back.

Fab break!
My partner and I came over from Australia as our close friend was getting married at Oldwalls. We booked 2 nights at the Bake House as I loved the unique design and funky decor + the property being close to the venue. Our short stay was nothing but perfect (despite being too short!). Our hosts, Steve and Pippa did everything possible to make our stay great, recommending local things to do on Gower & and they even gave us a lift to the wedding. Even with the freezing British weather, we loved the outdoor bathroom (not actually outdoors but located in the garden area), and it made coming back inside with the roaring fire even better! Will be sure to come back in the future with our family and stay in the larger barn we were shown. Thanks again!
