Gower Holidays is committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect about you to market your business and to keep you up to date with news. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
When you advertise we need to know your name, home postal address, address of the business being advertised, your telephone number and email address.  This information is needed to enable us to process and fulfill your instructions.

Enquiries from the public taken by Gower Holidays
Gower Holidays is committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect about you to process your enquiry and to keep you up to date with news and special offers. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
When you place an enquiry, we need to know your name, email address and/or telephone number.  This information is needed to enable us to process your enquiry. We will only pass on your details to the owners of suitable businesses or their representatives.  We keep contact form submissions for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Marketing newsletter
In subscribing to the Gower Holidays marketing newsletter, you are taken through a double opt-in procedure. You can update your preferences or unsubscribe at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link on the marketing emails.

Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
