Summerland, our house in Newton has been in our family since it was built in the early 1920’s by our great grandfather. It is comfortable for 2 to 8 people. It is within walking distance of Caswell and Langland beaches; ideal for families, swimmers and surfers. The other wonderful Gower beaches are easily accessible by car, bus or coastal walks.
Newton is a small village with two shops (a convenience store and butchers/deli) and a pub. It is a 15 minute walk down to The Mumbles where there are supermarkets, charity shops, fishmonger and butchers, independent bars and coffee shops and a good choice of restaurants.
The interior comprises of a fully fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting room. There is plenty of pans, crockery, cutlery and electrical appliances in the kitchen. The back porch leads into the garden, for hanging outdoor coats, shoes and boots and has an extra fridge and washing machine. The downstairs shower room is ideal after a sandy day at the beach.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, 2 double and 1 with twin beds, all with memory foam mattresses. There are extra mattresses for children to use under the twin beds. The upstairs shower room is new with a walk in shower.
The dining room seats 8 comfortably. The TV has Chrome-cast fitted which links to mobile applications. There is an extensive DVD collection. Wifi is provided by Youfibre.
The drive has an EV charger with space for 1 car. Extra parking is on Melcorn Drive adjacent to the property.
The garden is spacious with a summer house and patio, private and secure. The lawn is mowed fortnightly during the growing season.

This is my first visit to Summerland Lane and I’m so impressed with what a lovely house this is. What an amazing accomplishment to you all. I had a lovely time at this wonderful house and would love to come again! The best part was the BEDS! I slept in the single and it was amazing. The bathrooms were both very clean and spacious. The kitchen was just the right size and had everything we needed. The games and toys were a great thing to have for the young and old and created a nice atmosphere. 24/5 to 31/5 2025

We have had a really wonderful stay. What a treasure this home is, so full of history and love. The area is great, no problem just walking from the house. The beaches are fabulous. 29/4 to 2/5 2024
