One of the largest and most versatile accommodation options available on the Gower Peninsular, the cottage combines Oxwich View Cottage and Port Eynon Cottage – via interconnecting doors on the first floor – to create a holiday destination that can accommodate up to 14 guests. The first floor comprises of two master bedrooms with king size beds and ensuites, two double bedrooms, and two twin bedrooms (2’6″ wide beds, adults also welcome!). A further double bedroom with ensuite is conveniently located on the ground floor.
The two lounges have smart TV’s and log burners whilst the two kitchens are fully equipped with an induction hob, microwave, full-sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine and washer dryer and complemented by adjacent options for dining including one large dining room that can accommodate all 14 guests together.
Externally there are adjacent private gardens and paved seating and dining areas, all of which are fully enclosed for those who don’t leave home without the dog!
Private parking is available for 5 vehicles.
Port Eynon’s village amenities are within 100 meters of the cottage and include The Ship Inn and Smugglers Beach Bar & Kitchen which open all year round, whilst The Beach House Surf & Coffee Shop, two fish and chip shops and a gift shop open seasonally.
The cottage accepts up to 2 pets by prior arrangement provided they remain off all furniture and downstairs and are subject to a pet fee.
The cottage is let on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis during school holidays, whilst stays of a shorter duration are welcomed outside these dates.
We had the most wonderful Christmas at Ivy Cottage, gathering the family together from across the globe. Debbie and Dean were incredibly welcoming and made our stay truly special. They are super professional in their management, leaving nothing to chance, providing all the information you could need. The cottage is beautifully maintained, with everything you could want, beautifully decorated throughout and a fully equipped kitchen. Fabulous secure gardens and plenty of parking. It is in the most perfect location just minutes from the beach. Debbie and Dean really go the extra mile, we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday and we can’t wait to return!
We stayed at the property with extended family for a birthday get away 26-29 Sept. Everything about our stay was outstanding and the house worked exceptionally well for our multigenerational family group of 14. We took our dogs and we loved the fabulous local beach walks and the lovely coffee shop nearby. There were several nice little touches in the house on our arrival including lovely local treats for us and a basket of welcome goodies and useful things for the dogs including towels, bowls, balls and chews. We stayed at Ivy Cottage last weekend to celebrate the 70th birthday of a dear friend and colleague. We could not fault any aspect or fault the property. It was spotlessly clean with well equipped kitchen area and tastefully decorated rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. Very close proximity to the beach and local pubs/restaurants. Due to the good old British weather we did not get to use the garden area but could see how this could be an added bonus if you manage to bring some sunshine on your stay. Highly recommended and would definitely return here in the future. Thank you Deb & Dean.
We booked Ivy Cottage for a family holiday for 3 generations. The cottage is superb, so many small touches from the owner to make our stay very special. Two of the group were also able to work during the day as we were able to make a work space for them - the house layout was perfect for us. Beds are super comfy and the dogs enjoyed their basket of goodies too! We were also blessed with fantastic weather so enjoyed the beach and local walks. Two local pubs have great food although we enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and we all now have fridge envy. Thank you for a truly magical holiday.
Just perfect. 10 of us from 15-90 and 2 dogs. Not sure where to start but probably the best cottage we have stayed in over the last 10 years from its location (pubs, beach etc), facilities (everything we needed), cleanliness, hosts (super responsive, friendly, proactive), nice touches (welcome pack of local goodies, dog towels / treats, indoor & outdoor games). Can’t think of anything we would improve.
We stayed a week at Ivy Cottage. We were three generations, aged from 79 to 5. Everyone had a great time and we’d happily go back. The cottages are perfect for larger groups with oodles of space - loads of bathrooms, endless hot water, 2 kitchens, 2 sitting rooms etc. We loved the fact the cottages were so well equipped. We did a lot of cooking and found pretty much everything you’d expect to need at home. The cottages were spotlessly clean, the communication with Debbie and Dean was excellent throughout and the cottages were brilliantly located. You really are 2 minutes walk from the beach, little cafes etc. We went to both pubs in the village too. All in all, a fantastic location for exploring the Gower and we hope to go back."
