Puffin House is situated in the quiet seaside village of Horton,Gower at the end of a secluded lane. The house is just a few minutes walk from the beach which is surrounded by sand dunes and spectacular coastal cliffs with access to both easy and more strenuous walks. The ground floor comprises of a lounge/diner with table and chairs, three piece suite and a Smart 50 inch TV ; a bathroom with bath and separate shower; a twin bedroom and a fully fitted kitchen complete with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a second small dining table and 2 chairs. On the first floor is a small twin room with wash hand basin and a double bedroom with a regular size double bed , a shower, wc and wash basin. Bed linen and towels are provided. The property has full central heating. There is hard standing car parking space for 2 cars. A small, private enclosed rear garden has a picnic table and a gas barbecue for guests to enjoy. The house is child friendly with cot/highchair/stair gates available on request at no extra charge. Pets are welcome by arrangement – a fee may be charged. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of Puffin House. The owners live next door and would be available to help if needed. The next village of Port Eynon is approximately one mile away and has a small shop, a church, a pub, 2 fish and chip cafes and a restaurant. The nearest bank is fifteen miles away. Swansea is just a thirty minute drive away and has an excellent indoor market and shopping centre, a lively marina, a theatre, a wide range of restaurants, a cinema complex with ten-pin bowling and the LC” leisure centre. DIRECTIONS TO PUFFIN HOUSE M4 Carmarthen. Exit M4 at Junction 47 ignore all previous signs for Swansea & Gower Take 2nd left onto A483 towards Swansea Roundabout – take 2nd left onto A484 towards Llanelli. Roundabout – take 2nd left onto A484 towards Llanelli. [farmshop on the left at roundabout)
Roundabout – take 1st left onto B4296 towards Gowerton [pass Harvester restaurant on right ) Under railway bridge, then get into right hand lane. Traffic lights – turn right onto B4295 towards LIanrhidian. Pass TescoExpress & filling station on left. Traffic lights – straight across, [you will pass estuary and marshland on right/ the Rake and Riddle on your left and eventually Gower Timber on your right – SLOW DOWN CK Supermarket on right – good place to stock up. Estuary and marshland on right, pass Kenwood Kennels on right, pass LIanrhidian Holiday Park on left start climbing up gently. Petrol filling station on left – sharp left after filling station B4271 signposted Swansea. Pass Jeffreys Crichton Farm on right, come to and go over cattle grid. Next turn right – signposted: Cefn Bryn, Reynoldston, Port Eynon [beware of animals wandering on this road – they sometimes lie in the dips and hollows!]. Climb to the top of the hill, stop just over the brow and look at the view – best view in Gower. Reynoldston sign on left, keep straight on passing the King Arthur pub on your left. Narrow road, go slow, over cattle grid. T junction – turn right onto A4118 to Port Eynon. Pass Knelston sign on left. Pass Texaco garage on left ,good place to stock up, they sell everything from fresh bread to aspirin. (just 3 miles from your destination now) Pass Scurlage sign on your left. Pass South Gower Sports Club on your right. Take next left turn opposite farm – Horton is signposted here. Pass Bank Farm camping on right. At next caravan site [on right] turn right Drop down into Horton village. Take 1st left down steep hill – go slow. At next junction turn left onto the main road, and almost straight away turn right into Underhill Lane. Puffin House is the last house at the bottom of the lane. 19 miles from junction 47 of the M4.
2013 Truly beautiful place and the beaches world class. House lovely and cosy and great walks for the dog.

2018 Our 11th visit ….easily the best holiday home we stay in. The welcome was first class as usual. Enjoyed some gentle walks and plenty of good food pubs.
